Selecting the lash curve when laminating lashes

Selecting the lash curve when laminating lashes

When eyelash extensions and lamination, the key factor is the choice of curl. It can be different: from barely noticeable to expressively rounded. The direction and angle of bending significantly changes the look and image as a whole. By changing these indicators, you can visually enlarge your eyes or change their shape. But in order to achieve the expected effect, it is important to understand what kind of eyelash curls there are and how to choose them. We'll tell you.

Natural curl of eyelashes: types

The direction of eyelash growth differs among people and depends on genetic characteristics. Thus, the following forms are distinguished:

  • rounded. With it, a natural curl is formed, the eyelashes are directed upward;
  • straight. In secret, the hairs “look” forward;
  • down. As you might guess, in this case the eyelashes grow with a downward slope, which makes the look look “sleepy.”

You can adjust the direction and curls using different methods. The simplest – using a curler that simply bends the hairs. But this method provides results for only a few hours, traumatizes the eyelashes and does not in any way affect the length, thickness, or expressiveness. These indicators can be adjusted using extensions or lamination. Moreover, both procedures can provide different degrees of curl, so you need to figure out what kind of eyelash curls there are.

What are the curves of eyelashes during eyelash extensions

The difference depends on the shape, depth and degree of rounding of the hairs. Curves in eyelash extensions are classified using English letters:

  1. J – The most straightened bend, the bend angle is small, provides a natural look. This shape follows the natural direction of growth, but adds volume and length. J is suitable for those who want a natural look, adding only thickness or for extensions on the lower eyelid.
  2. In – This option is quite difficult to implement and requires a slight lift.
  3. D (CC) – the most popular, provides an expressive curl, does not look very natural, but adds glamor.
  4. C – A characteristic feature is the rounded end of the hairs, C helps to create a romantic and gentle image, and is also in demand.
  5. B – slightly wrinkles J. Curls are formed at the edge of the hairs.
  6. M – Suitable for girls who have sparse and not very long eyelashes or if they grow straight and do not naturally curl.
  7. U – provides the least natural bend, a doll-like effect.
  8. The L-bend follows the direction of growth as much as possible, slightly enhancing it. L is suitable for sparse eyelashes and girls who do not want too much drama in their image.
  9. L+ - similar to L, but differs in smoother curling of the ends of the hairs.

Interestingly, L and L+ are the most durable extensions, since the fibers are attached at the base of the eyelid. Conversely, D and CC require more careful handling, but they also add more expressiveness to the look.

Types of bends when laminating eyelashes

The essence of the procedure is to give the eyelashes a certain position and then fix them. The curls in eyelash lamination depend on the type of roller:

When choosing, it is important to take into account the shape of the client’s eyes and the length of the client’s natural eyelashes in order to harmoniously play with them and adjust the proportions. For example, a round curl is more suitable for girls with long eyelashes and almond-shaped eyes. It makes the look open. But for short ones – round rollers and a strong bend will not work, it will even be inconvenient to do it, to secure eyelash compensators.

Optimal curve depending on eye type

In addition to aesthetics, when choosing the type of curl, it is important to consider whether it is suitable at all. If not, then the result of lamination or extension will not last long or, in principle, it will not be possible to achieve the desired effect. Therefore, before the procedure, it is important to understand how to choose eyelash curls according to the shape of the eyes:

  • almond-shaped – The C-curl and D will help open up the look and make the cut rounder;
  • round – you can use B to give an almond-shaped outline or J (for small eyes);
  • deeply planted and covered – L, he “opens” well look, while creating a curl closer to the tip, and the beginning – straight, which is convenient for deep-set eyes;
  • dropping eyelid – options that “reveal” are suitable. look — M, D, C+, L+.

Aging eyes deserve special attention. For them you need to choose the most natural option, the doll effect will look ridiculous.

In general, the logic of choice is simple – for round eyes, choose types of curves that visually stretch the cut; for almond-shaped and deep-set ones – those that round and widen your gaze. Having understood the types of bends, it will be easier to achieve a harmonious and durable effect after the procedure.
